West Virginia lands one of the better shooting bigs in the 2016 class in Mountain Mission (WV) / WV Wildcats 6’10 Maciej Bender.

Bender is a Top 100 prospect nationally and ranks No. 8 in a star studded BIG SHOTS VA 2016 class.

In April 2015 at BIG SHOTS MYRTLE BEACH SPRING it was clear to see in warm ups that the 6’10 shooting big man was simply a high major prospect. He shot the 3 effortlessly with a pure stroke and glided to the rim to flush with either hand. Bender then translated that to the game where he showed glimpses of former BIG SHOTS alum reigning National Player of the Year Frank Kaminsky.  Frank Kaminsky starred in BIG SHOTS at 16 and 17 with Illinois Wolves.  Tagged a high major top 100 prospect at that point Bender continued a stellar spring and finished the summer series overseas.

Maciej, who was nicknamed ‘Magic’ until I learned how to pronounce his name properly on the mic, was a star for Scott Long’s WV Wildcats Select in being named Breakout Performer for the 2016 class in BIG SHOTS Spring 2015. Bender and the talented Mountain Mission squad, which also features Arizona State 6’10 commit Jethro Tshishumpa and several division 1 prospects, will be highlighted at the LANEY BIG SHOTS HOOP FEAST November 27-28 in Wilmington, NC.
